CDAS conference 2018 – Development, Democracy and Dark Matter

This year’s Community Development Alliance Scotland (CDAS) Conference will take place on 17th April 2018, 10am-3pm, at The Studio, Hope Street, Glasgow. The theme is the ties that bind us in our communities – hence dark matter!

Speakers include:

  • Sylvia Douglas, a successful woman empowerment entrepreneur on community development approaches to rebuilding broken lives
  • Alasdair McKinlay, Head of the Community Empowerment and Public Bodies Units in the Scottish Government’s Local Government and Communities Directorate on the Local Governance Review.

Round table discussions will focus on sharing community experience of the community empowerment act in practice. First hand experiences of asset transfer, participation requests and community growing will all kick off the conversations.
