Glasgow and West of Scotland Forum of Housing Associations (GWSF) is the membership body for community-controlled housing associations (CCHAs) and co-operatives in west central Scotland. Its main purpose is to promote, represent and campaign on behalf of CCHAs and to share information and best practice. As at September 2016, there are 68 member associations in GWSF.
GWSF main objectives are to promote the values and achievements of the community-controlled housing movement. To promote information sharing and mutual support among community-owned housing organisations. To make the case for housing and regeneration policies that support our members’ work and to facilitate partnership working between our members and external bodies such as local authorities on housing and regeneration.
GWSF strive to achieve their objectives by lobbying elected politicians and representing our members in discussions with a wide range of external bodies. Contributing a community-owned housing perspective to policy discussions and developing our own policy ideas, and providing our members with briefings and information.
