TCRTThe Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is a charitable company and social enterprise, with teams deployed across England, Scotland and Wales. Established in 1999 CRT operate as a social enterprise delivering services that benefit communities. As a social investor CRT utilise their funds to invest in activities that create a positive social impact. CRT’s business micro loans act as a catalyst for individuals looking to start their own business and their small grants provide much needed support for community organisations.

CRT deliver programmes and services that support people into work; improve skills and help people gain qualifications; create pathways into volunteering; improve health; develop sustainable solutions for community facilities; engage young people in positive activities; grow new businesses and social enterprises; provide community development support.

The core of the CRT Strategy for Scotland is to build successful businesses and organisations by encouraging use of local resources in a way that enhances economic opportunities while improving social conditions in a sustainable way.
