Community development and its Values and principles.

Community development is a process where community members come together to take action and generate solutions to common problems. It is a broad term given to the practices of civic leaders, activist, involved citizens, and professionals to improve various aspects of community, typically aiming to build stronger more resilient local communities. Principles and values of community development mentioned in the video include Democracy, inclusiveness, participation, non authoritarianism, community self determination, community ownership, enhancement of natural capacity and networks, social justice and equity, universality, and service integration.

I give this video a 3* out of 5 A great introduction to community development, Good set of values and principles. I think the scope of the values and principles could be a bit broader and come from a few other perspectives.
