Living Wage Movement Aotearoa, New Zealand

Involves a series of campaigns formed by local networks around the country, first launched in Auckland 2012. The Living Wage Movement arose in response to an insufficient minimum wage with a focus on big business and employers using public money for wages paying their employees a decent wage to live on. This ‘living wage’is updated annually. A trademark brand for a Living Wage Employer now has more than 40 accredited employers in New Zealand.
